Neverwinter Nights 2 - Original Campaign - Crossroad Keep

Fantasy game art from Neverwinter Nights 2.

Crossroad Keep is of key significant throughout the campaign and plays many roles. In the early game, it is the secret lair of one of the main antagonists, Black Garius. After the Keep is raided and Black Garius's initial plan ruined, the Keep is awarded to the protagonist to be rebuilt and garrisoned for the coming war. After a lengthy period of management, war comes and is fought on its outskirts as well as at and in the Keep.

Crossroad Keep reappears in the Storm of Zehir campaign with an incidental role as the player's merchant headquarters. The grounds are denser with buildings but the overall layout remains the same.

Fantasy art from The Bard's Tale fantasy role playing game. This cutscene features dialogue from the Houton blacksmith concerning his treasure map. Although the Bard being scammed is entirely in keeping with the overall tone of the game world, the treasure map was in fact a good one, as Dun Ailinne hides, among other things, the Golden Spyglass, which increases all future treasure finds by 10%.
