Dungeon Siege II: Broken World - Boss - Familiar Surgeon

Fantasy game art from Dungeon Siege II: Broken World.

There are two Familiar Surgeons: Despular and Baelusar. They are essentially the same except for their names.

There are two Familiar Surgeons: Despular, who lairs in some ruins and from whom the heroes get the key to unlock Calennor Stronghold to reach the second surgeon, Baelusar. Baelusar fights in a similar manner to Despular, except it has one additional attack, a life-decaying mist. Both can belch bouncing acid balls from their bloated bodies, animate Crawlers from piles of butchered creature parts, and heal themselves by draining the life from those animated creatures. Many years ago, Lorethal and his Crimson Hunters banished the entire race of Familiars from Aranna. Their leaders, the cunning and cruel 'Surgeons' Despular and Baelusar, never forgave the Elves. When the Overmage offered them a chance for revenge, they laid siege to Aman'lu in the cruelest way possible.
Familiar Surgeons are cruel artisans, tearing apart the lesser creatures of the world and reassembling them as powerful, bloodthirsty slaves. They enjoy the pain their experiments inflict on their subjects, and they relish the misery the Elves feel when their own brothers and sisters turn against them. If the Surgeons are not stopped, their horrific armies will overwhelm all of Aranna.

Here are two basic Titan Quest models in their "underwear" (when a character is wearing no armour). Incidentally, it took two years before someone managed a game modification to remove the skirt . Here are two characters modified with the AllSkins mod (now included in the unofficial fan patch ). AllSkins Mod version 0.7

The Bard's Tale - Dun Ailinne Treasure Map

Fantasy art from The Bard's Tale fantasy role playing game. This cutscene features dialogue from the Houton blacksmith concerning his treasure map. Although the Bard being scammed is entirely in keeping with the overall tone of the game world, the treasure map was in fact a good one, as Dun Ailinne hides, among other things, the Golden Spyglass, which increases all future treasure finds by 10%.
