All of the caves in the Shivering Isles generally use the same tileset / fantasy art and are typically accessed from above ground from a doorway nestled in between the roots of a massive stump. Blackroot Lair is further distinguished from the others by the strong presence of Grummites and their encampments. |

The other opponents of Athena are the main pantheon of the Greek gods: Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Demeter, Dionysus, Hades, Hapheastus, Hera, Hermes, and Poseidon. Zeus only makes an appearance during the story slides. In general, the artwork for the gods and heroes do not feature most of the iconic elements of a particular character: Poseidon, for example, lacks his signature trident.
