Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Act 2

Game art from Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

In Act 2, the heroes race to rescue Jean Grey and Nightcrawler, two of the heroic X-Men that have been kidnapped by the Master of Evil. Because of Loki's involvement with the Masters of Evil, they relocate to the home of Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme, to draw on his expertise with matters arcane.
In their pursuit of the Masters of Evil and the kidnapped X-men, the heroes are stalled by a diversion to Murderworld but manage to rescue Jean Grey. They continue on to the hell-like realm of Mephisto to rescue Nightcrawler, only to discover they have been set up by Doctor Doom to be offerings to Mephisto in exchange for the mysterious Twilight Sword.
One of the X-Men is irrevocably destroyed.

Fantasy art from The Bard's Tale fantasy role playing game. This cutscene features dialogue from the Houton blacksmith concerning his treasure map. Although the Bard being scammed is entirely in keeping with the overall tone of the game world, the treasure map was in fact a good one, as Dun Ailinne hides, among other things, the Golden Spyglass, which increases all future treasure finds by 10%.
