| Fantasy game art from Dungeon Siege II: Broken World The fantasy creatures in Dungeon Siege II were very "familiar": While the creatures were creative enough to be fantastical, often they resemble animals or insects from the real world, and can be considered monstrous variations thereof. The Broken World expansion, however, introduces more surreal, alien, and disturbing adversaries as you progress deeper into enemy territory. Broken World also takes creatures from Dungeon Siege II and changes them into darker versions; and at the same time introduces the Familiars, which are appropriately alien for being creatures from another world. Many monsters from Dungeon Siege II were discarded in this new post-apocalyptic world, and you won't find the same sheer variety. There is also a strong bondage theme--a very bold art direction especially considering the original Dungeon Siege II monster fantasy game artwork was quite tame. |
Fantasy game art from Throne of Olympus . Heracles is the only hero/demi-god who appears in the game. The other opponents of Athena are the main pantheon of the Greek gods: Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Demeter, Dionysus, Hades, Hapheastus, Hera, Hermes, and Poseidon. Zeus only makes an appearance during the story slides. In general, the artwork for the gods and heroes do not feature most of the iconic elements of a particular character: Poseidon, for example, lacks his signature trident.
