The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Miscellaneous Scenes

Fantasy game art from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Charus Valga, Count of Chorrol: During the quest "Canvas the Castle", the player/protagonist is tasked to discover who stole this painting. However, an oversight in coding means that the painting does not reappear in the Countess's chambers. This bug is fixed by the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. K'sharra Prophecy: According to Ri'Bassa, village shaman of Borderwatch, they are doomed to a prophecy involving three signs. The daedric prince Sheogorath tasks the player/protagonist to make the first two signs appear, after which he takes care of the third, which up to this point is kept a mystery to the player.

As part of the main quest to save all of Tamriel from the demonic invasion of Mehrunes Dagon, the protagonist / player travels to "Paradise", a miniature world created by the villanous mastermind Mankar Camoran. The following slides and short video clip show the process of opening the one-way portal. Paradise itself is a sylvan forest on a large island, and not particularly special. The Universitas Arcanarum mod adapts this worldspace for its use, and though on a smaller scale, the look and feel are very similar.

The Bard's Tale - Dun Ailinne Treasure Map

Fantasy art from The Bard's Tale fantasy role playing game. This cutscene features dialogue from the Houton blacksmith concerning his treasure map. Although the Bard being scammed is entirely in keeping with the overall tone of the game world, the treasure map was in fact a good one, as Dun Ailinne hides, among other things, the Golden Spyglass, which increases all future treasure finds by 10%.
