Fantasy game art from Midnight Mysteries: The Edgar Allan Poe Conspiracy. |
This game presents a theory about the death of Edgar Allan Poe, an american writer, poet, editor, and literary critic probably most famous for The Raven and its famous "nevermore". It draws on many references and sources, both historical and more contemporary (such as the mysterious and elusive Poe Toaster). The two main fictional pieces from Poe's works used to present a theory for his death are The Mystery of Marie Rogêt: A Sequel to The Murders in the Rue Morgue and The Gold-Bug, but there are elements from other works here and there, such as discovering evidence hidden under floorboards (a feature in The Tell-Tale Heart).
