Planescape: Torment

Fantasy game art from Planescape: Torment.

The protagonist, "The Nameless One" (because he has forgotten his name and no one seems to know it), has lived many lives and forgotten all of them. The game focuses on The Nameless One's journey throughout the city of Sigil and other planes to reclaim his memories of these previous lives. Several characters in the game may join The Nameless One on his journey, most of whom have encountered him in the past.
The constant presentation of elusive mysteries, new revelations, and the sense of always having new and fantastical things to see, made this game a very powerful role-playing experience.

The Bard's Tale - Dun Ailinne Treasure Map

Fantasy art from The Bard's Tale fantasy role playing game. This cutscene features dialogue from the Houton blacksmith concerning his treasure map. Although the Bard being scammed is entirely in keeping with the overall tone of the game world, the treasure map was in fact a good one, as Dun Ailinne hides, among other things, the Golden Spyglass, which increases all future treasure finds by 10%.
